Great meals and service! Don't know why everyone insist on standing in line and paying double for prepackaged food at these big chain restaurants when you can eat real food at a great price here. You won't find five teenage hostesses at the door to greet you, high ceilings or fancy decor. What you will get is a great menu (but no pretty pictures), a spotless restaurant, real home cooked food and good service.

I thought it was pretty good.... Its been a few years since I've been, but I miss the place. I always got extremely good and verry friendly service. The food was always very good. (except for the spaghetti)

I loved the open faced turkey or roast beef sand with real mashed potatoes and killer gravy. And was very reasonably priced.

Think I'm gonna start going there again, now that I remember how good it all was.

Bad reviews are nuts!. After being a customer here for many years and reading all the reviews, it is obvious that the only bad reviews all came from the same group or family that

was pissed off because the staff felt customers may take offense at them breast feeding a baby in front of other patrons. I for one don't feel my wife and children should have to be exposed to it and the staff did the right thing.

The Rainbow is an incredible good place to eat with great food, service and pricing. Don't let one upset family keep you from eating at a great place!

Excellent Breakfast. I see there are several good reviews and a few bad ones. I am only reviewing the breakfast. I eat at the Rainbow several times a week. Their breakfast special, arrive before 8am, is consistently good (choice of bacon, link or turkey sausage, 2 eggs [your way], potatoes/grits/rice, toast or a biscuit [consistently good], and drink (coffee/tea) for a very reasonable price. *The "core" morning waitresses have been there for many years, and are consistently upbeat and attentive. When they are rushed, maybe not as attentive as they would like, but seems to me to treat everyone equally.

Great family food. I've been eating at the Rainbow since I was a child and the food and service is always good. The menu has something for everyone. The place was renovated a few years ago and is always spotless. I'm anal about health inspection grades and here its always 98-100. The staff is freindy and treats you like family. If you want real food and not frozen chain resteraunt food than you have to try it.

love the rainbow diner!. My husband and I love going to the Rainbow, we always have great service, every server we've ever had has always been super nice and very prompt. The food is clean, fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Their onion rings are excellent! Old school onion slices (not that onion paste crud) with a light batter and NOT greasy!

Sooo good! Their entrees and specials are wonderful and their desserts (if you possibly have any room) are AMAZING! It has an older, relaxed, smoker friendly atmosphere (which is nice if you don't want to eat with a bunch of drunk kids with blaring music) Love this place!

Outstanding !. I eat at Rainbow about once a week. The food is always great, the wait staff is always friendly, helpful and courteous. If you like comfort food, the kind your mother always made, this is the place. I can't recommend any particular dish as I have never had anything that was not outstanding. Do you like hamburgers they are great. Do you like fish - I recommend the small fried flounder (the large is way too much food for me). If you don't like Rainbow, you need to look to yourself for the problem. Rainbow isn't the problem. I just wish they offered peas as a side item.

Awful place to dine. I have been going to Rainbow since I moved out here to Fayetteville, it was wonderful at first, we loved it. Then within the past 2 years, omgosh, the food is awful dry nasy now. Tables are always dirty. The waitstaff, jeez, I hate to say it but they looked like they could seriously use a shower, and reeked. And then you may get 3 different waitresses, who knows, because if you asked for something, you would never get it becaues whomever you asked would be on the other side of the restaurant, and you would have someone new coming to your table helping you. Overall, service is somewhat friendly, the waitstaff seemed way to much in a hurry trying to get out of there, running around giving dirty looks if someone came in. I would hate to see what that place would be like during rush hour lunch or dinner service. Do your self a favor go next door to Ruby Tuesday.

ARGH!. The service was OK until my friend began to nurse her baby. The child was covered and, unless you looked REALLY hard, you couldn't tell what she was doing. The waitress didn't like it was was rude as you-know-what.

It's a darn good thing that my daughter wasn't hungry at the moment because I would have pulled mine out right in front of that snotty waitress and DARED her to say one word to me.

Any establishment that treats nursing mothers like that will not get ANY of my money!!!
