316 Oyster Bar and Grill. This is the best restaurant in town. One of my choices every year to go to for going out for my birthday dinner..Love Love Love it....
Wonderful Visit-Wonderful Food Makes a Wonderful Birthday.
My husband and I moved from Fayetteville 10 years ago. For his birthday I wanted to take him back for some good memories. One place that we couldn't miss was the 316 Oyster Bar & Seafood Grill. It was part of our life for 3 years while we were in North Carolina.
This evening we ate there! It was just as we remembered. We had two huge lobster tails, salad, and two sides each.(More food than I could eat and not pricey at all) Jason served us. He treated us like we were the only customers that he had. Of course, he was busy but we didn't want for a thing. He even brought us a piece of cake at the end of our meal and had the plate decorated with WELCOME BACK in chocolate. How nice is that.
I can't believe that anyone could every say anything bad about the food or service. After 10 years, going back and still getting such good food along with tip top service is a credit to the owner, manager and staff.
If you like seafood. Go! You won't regret it..
Horrible Filet Mignon.
My son and I went to the 316 Oyster Bar in Fayetteville North Carolina last evening to celebrate his birthday and the young man made the mistake of ordering the fillet mignon, which according to their menu is a most succulent piece of steak that they serve.
What my son got instead of the supposed succulent filet mignon was a one quarter inch thick by three inch piece of fried meat with one lonely strip of fried bacon placed on the side of the plate as an after thought. This piece of round steak cost us twenty-four dollars! Surely they have to be kidding.
I also noticed that the sea scallops on my seafood platter had been cut in half I supposed the chef if you can call him that, thought that I would not notice.
Sea scallops should never be cut in half, you must either serve bay scallops or sea scallops whole or not at all, but you never cut them just to fill the number of scallops called for in the menu.
Enjoyable Experience. This was our first time at this restaurant. We arrived shortly after opening and got a table right away. The dining room quickly filled up. The server was friendly and attentive without hovering. The hushpuppies were verrrrry good. Our meal was well paced and our steamed oysters, shrimp, and grilled snapper tasted very good. Salad and side items were nothing special. Overall a good experience!
Avoid this place period.. The service was horrible but not as bad as the food. We had shrimp and catfish. The seafood just did not have a good taste. It tasted horrible. My baked potato was cold. My son got the chicken strip kid meal. The drink was not included in the kids meal. It was a rip off and we will never go back. The place is not what it is cracked up to be. Dont waste your money! Its an old Western Steer that they barely remodled.
Very Fun Place to Dine. Wow we had a blast here. I got the grilled shrimp, awsome. We had fried gator bites, even though they weren't fresh the kids enjoyed the fact that they ate gator. It was a real fun time. There was lights and music, felt like a carnival ride lol.
best place to eat seafood in this area. the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is like an old movie setting....i recommend anyone going here....try out their steaks the are perfect, melt in your mouth......great place to eat.
Warm Food.
I have heard some much about 316 I had to try it out.
The food selection was pretty good. Not all fried food!
Yet when we did get our food it was served almost warm, and for seafood (Or any food in fact) that does not go over well.
I will not eat here again as I was not impressed.
